Born and raised on a cattle ranch, Gaye attended Oklahoma State University and worked as a teacher before running Pfeiffer Angus Farms with her husband, John, for the past 42 years. With their two adult sons, they raise registered Angus cattle and manage a commercial cow/calf operation. Gaye is a member of NCBA, Farm Bureau, her state cattlemen’s and breed associations, and serves as vice president of the Oklahoma 4-H Foundation Board. Previously, she served in leadership roles in the Oklahoma Angus Association, Logan County Farm Service Agency, Ag 2000 Task Force, and Mulhall-Orlando School Board.
