With a degree in Biology and a Masters of Education from West Texas A&M University, Amy became an advocate for the beef industry after realizing their children couldn’t explain what their dad did in the feedyard. Today, she is Technology Director for the Vega, Texas, Independent School District. She also has a social media presence to help consumers and other producers learn more about the beef lifecycle and beef’s nutritional benefits. Amy is a member of Farm Bureau, NCBA, Texas Cattle Feeders Association, and Texas Cattlemen’s Association, and is on the board of the Texas Beef Council.
