Bill grew up on the same southwest Minnesota farm where he currently lives and works with his wife Merri. The couple took over Bill’s parents’ dairy operation in 1996 that today is a 120-cow robot dairy. Along with his children and their spouses, Bill also purchased cow-calf pairs to run on some of their 1,000 acres of pasture. Bill has served as chair of the Minnesota Red & White Dairy Cattle Association, vice-chair of the Murray County ADA Board, as Murray County Dairy Project Leader and on the Minnesota State Fair Program Development Committee, as well as on the boards for the Murray County Fair, Associated Milk Producers, Inc., and Dairy Herd Improvement Association.
