Born and raised as a fourth-generation rancher in Springer, New Mexico, Boe is currently serving as mayor of the town. He runs a cow-calf operation and his family also has a plumbing, heating, and septic business, along with interest in New Mexico telepharmacies. Boe has served on the boards for USCA, NM State Land Office, and Colfax County Farm and Livestock Bureau, executive committee member for the Colfax County Fairboard, second vice president for the NM Farm and Livestock Bureau, NM Cattlegrowers, NM Soil Commission, and chairman for the Colfax County Soil and Water Conservation District.
