Gwen’s grandparents on both sides homesteaded in Campbell County in northeast Wyoming, and Gwen was born and raised in the ranching life. She and husband Gerry own Blue Gate Solutions, LLC, a cow/calf operation that includes a range herd of Targhee sheep. Additionally, they provide agricultural services such as bare ground control on oil well locations, weed control on access road and lots, right-of-way mowing, and sales of liquid cow feed. Gwen has served in leadership roles in CattleWomen at the local, state, and national levels; Campbell County Woolgrowers Auxiliary; Wyoming Stockgrowers; and the Farm Service Agency County Committee; and has been a member of the National Cattlemen's Beef Association.
