Jason comes from a small town in New Zealand, where livestock and horticulture operations contribute significantly to the local economy. As a youngster, he spent most summer months and weekends milking cows and helping out at a neighbor’s dairy farm. Nearly 30 years ago, he moved to the U.S. and has spent most of that time working on market access and agricultural policy areas at the New Zealand Embassy in Washington DC. In 2019, David accepted the role of Trade & Relationship Manager (North America) with Beef + Lamb New Zealand, an industry organization representing New Zealand’s sheep and beef farmers.
