Married with 5 children and 18 grandchildren, John is the fourth generation in his family to take the reins at J Y Ferry & Son in Corinne, Utah. There, he manages a cow/calf herd; feedlot; corn, alfalfa, and wheat crops; private duck hunting clubs; and is a steward of his property’s significant wetlands (for which he has won conservation and environmental stewardship awards). John has served on multiple industry boards, including the Utah and America Farm Bureaus, National Livestock Producers, Producers Livestock Marketing Association, School Trust Lands, and Utah State University Board of Trustees.
