A fourth-generation farmer/rancher, Larry lives and works on the original homestead settled by his great-grandfather in 1871. After attending KSU and getting married, he returned to the farm and began expanding the herd, which he started in high school with just four cows. Today, he owns and leases irrigated and dryland pasture to provide feed for 800 head at his Kendig Ranch & Feedlot. Larry is a member of Farm Bureau and the Kansas Cattlemen's Association, past Vice President of the Webster Irrigation Board, a member of the U.S. Cattlemen’s Association board and chair of its Trade Committee.
