Laurie and her husband Brandon raise three children on their cattle, sheep, and row-crop farm in South Shore, South Dakota. Laurie began her career teaching Agriculture before moving into Agriculture Lending. As a mom of young children, she is excited about the Beef Checkoff’s support of research and promotion surrounding beef as a first food. Laurie’s industry involvement has included roles as past Treasurer, Vice President, and President of the South Dakota Beef Industry Council, and Treasurer and past President of the South Dakota Cattlemen's Auxiliary.
