Position: Checkoff Education Manager
Davis joined the Beef Board in June of 2022, bringing 4 years of education and community outreach experience to the staff. Davis earned a bachelor’s degree in International Affairs from the University of Colorado, Boulder, and a master’s degree in Culturally and Linguistically Diverse Education from Regis University. Prior to joining the CBB, Davis was an 8th grade social studies teacher in Thornton, Colorado and from this grew her passion for education. While teaching, Davis spent summers working as a ranch hand at Red Tail Ranch in Breckenridge, Colorado.
Davis is originally from the mountain town of Frisco, Colorado. Davis grew up riding horses and participating in her local 4H branch. She has a passion for riding horses and can be found riding her Quarter Horse mare, Stylish N High Heels (aka Red Belle) and competing in Versatility Ranch Horse competitions around Colorado. She also loves skiing, running, camping, and fishing.
As the Checkoff Education Manager, she is responsible for working with stakeholders to reinforce knowledge about the Checkoff and proactively dispel the misperceptions/false information that circulate about the program.
