Position: Financial Compliance Manager
Tom came to the Cattlemen’s Beef Board in September 2019 as the Financial Compliance Manager. He is responsible for conducting financial compliance reviews of the State beef councils located throughout the U.S. Tom coordinates and manages these reviews, as well as conducts analysis of the beef councils’ financial statements and marketing plans. He analyzes and interprets financial data and internal controls; prepares and delivers executive/board compliance reports.
Tom has more than 30 years of regulatory compliance and financial crimes investigative experience, which includes 25 years of service in the federal government as a FBI Agent, a U.S. Treasury Agent, and Office of Inspector General Special Agent. Tom was also employed as a Federal Bank Examiner with the FDIC and a Financial Examiner with the Colorado, Division of Banking. Prior to joining the CBB, Tom was the U.S. Compliance Officer for WorldRemit Corp., an on-line money transfer company headquartered in Denver. Tom grew up in Florida and earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Legal Administration from the University of West Florida. He has completed coursework towards a Masters’ Certificate in Professional Accountancy with an emphasis in forensic accounting and is a Certified Fraud Specialist. Tom has lived in Highlands Ranch, Colorado for the past 20 years and is the father of one son and one daughter.
