Beef Checkoff Program Committees

The Beef Checkoff program Committees review Checkoff work and make recommendations to the Beef Promotion Operating Committee.

Committees are formed based on the strategies identified in the Beef Industry Long Range Plan (LRP) and demand drivers from the Consumer Beef Demand Driver research. Twice a year, producer leaders meet in their committees to review promotions and other projects that directly tie to their outlined initiatives.

All program committees review Checkoff work related to their LRP goal and make recommendations to the Beef Promotion Operating Committee (BPOC), which ultimately makes program and contractor funding decisions. The two advisory committees, Evaluation and the BPOC advise on matters related to the National Beef Checkoff program’s structure and operation. The Evaluation committee advises the BPOC on projects and results and evaluates Checkoff work and programs.
